Meet Avalou Ross

Avalou Ross is an experienced outdoor adventurer and a licensed New York State hiking and camping guide with over six years of professional guiding experience. With a deep passion for nature and wellness, Avalou has spent the last decade leading hikes and organizing outdoor experiences that foster connection, healing, and personal growth. She is the founder of TriState Hikers Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting mental health awareness through outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. What began as a hiking club more than 10 years ago officially became a nonprofit four years ago, expanding its mission to serve diverse communities across the tri-state area. Avalou continues to inspire others by creating inclusive, supportive outdoor spaces where adventure meets purpose — proving that the path to wellness can start on the trail.
